Unscrupulous manufacturers and sellers with exclusively mercantile goals have appeared on the market. Among other things, this led to the appearance of low-quality body armor, which are extremely dangerous to the life of the military.

What do volunteers face when buying body armor?
Instead of real certificates confirming body armor compliance with common standards, sellers provide test reports. Just having it is not enough.
This document confirms the quality indicators of an exclusively tested sample. As a rule, after such a test, the body armor is in the wrong state, and its use is not recommended.
What does the seller really need to provide?
Certificate for a batch of body armor or armor plates -
When buying body armor, be sure to ask for a certificate.
It must contain the batch number and serial numbers of the products. Here are added samples that passed the test and received stable indicators.
The certificate is accompanied by a protocol with the serial numbers of the samples that participated in the shooting, indicating the ballistic resistance.
Thus, products of good quality must have a certificate.
Note, that, according to the current legislation, the class is set on bulletproof vests, and not on plates.

There is also a confirmation of the responsibility of the manufacturing company. This information and the main indicators are indicated in the product passport. It is an integral component in the supply of body armor.
The serial number, series, batch and manufacturer's warranty must be indicated here.
They describe the protection level, area, weight, care and responsibility on the part of the manufacturing company.
Only in the case if all these documents are available, we can say that the bulletproof vest has been produced and sold legally and that someone is responsible for it. If this isn't there, everything is on the conscience of the seller and manufacturer.
